You need to start a home based business

For many people to start a home based business, that would be something really exciting. To be your own boss, not having to commute, to choose the working hours freely and to be able to plan the work-day entirely on your own.

If you are going to start a home based business, then you should start with thinking it through, by asking yourself some initial questions, such as:

1. If I’m going to keep my current job, at least for now, when will I find the time to start a home based business?

How many hours each day can I put aside and use for my business endeavors?

Can I work early in the morning or after work in the evenings? Maybe on the weekends?

2. Do I have a suitable room or area for my home business? Can I work uninterrupted?

3. How much energy and determination am I willing to put into learning something new, if required?

Even if my home based business is something that I already know and mastered then:

How about running a home business itself? Should I delegate some or any tasks?

4. Do I know how to market my home based business?

How do I make people aware of that they can buy something from me?

Should I use online or offline marketing, or both maybe?

How much money and or time do I need to put aside for marketing efforts alone?

What is the most effective way for me to market my home business, within my particular economical frames?

If I plan to do this myself, could I learn something that would make it easier and more effective?

5. And, last but not least, how about the money?

How do I plan to finance the start? How much money is needed?

Do I have most of the equipment already or do I have to buy or rent something? If I do need to buy equipment, then what does it cost?

These are a few questions to start with, and it’s good to have the answers to, before starting up your own home based business. It would make your upstart smoother and safer, to have some answers for yourself, about the home business of yours to be.

If you want to succeed

If you want to succeed, not just in this business but with anything in life, then you need to commit. You need to seriously make a commitment to go for whatever you want.

OK, so what is commitment?

I mean what is it really?

Well, I’ve heard this said by several people and it’s so true:

Commitment is doing the actions long after the mood to do it has passed.

That’s powerful.

I mean there are days where I have exactly zero desire to work on anything (it doesn’t happen often, but it does).

However, I made a commitment to myself that I’m going to build a home business.

So even though I’m not in the mood to move my business forward on a particular day, I get up and I do it anyway.

I want to challenge you to make that commitment and start plowing forward…

Consistently…

Day after day…

Until you are where you want to be.

Look, if you really want to achieve something in your life (specifically talking about business), then this can NOT be a hobby.

Because there is a fundamental difference between a hobby and a business.

Hobbies COST you money… a business MAKES you money.

So if you’ve been plugging away at your business for years and you’re still only breaking even or even losing money, it’s because you’ve been treating your business as a hobby.

You haven’t been treating it like a real business.

Here’s the reality:

You can build a home business full time and quit your day job… or you can do it part time…

But you can NOT do it sometimes.

Makes sense?

At the end of the day, you have to find a business that you’re passionate about.

Let your passion and your vision be the driving force that will move you forward against all odds.

This business system is what did it for me…

I’m not gonna say it was a game changer because it still took me some time to REALLY commit to it.

But when I did…

When I made that commitment to myself to really make it happen…

Failure literally became an impossibility.

If you’re still searching for a business model, then I really do encourage you to check this out.

Hopefully you can get the same results I did.

But listen…

If you already have a business that you love, then GO GET IT!

Make.

I’ve been a little busy…

I’ve been a little busy and some of you may have noticed that I’ve been really busy over the past couple of months. But there’s a reason for it.

See, now that my retirement is going well and our personal finances are where we want them.

My mom passed away recently and us siblings decided to sell the house.

And the realtor figured there’s a few minor things we should get done on the house before listing it on the open market.

Who are we to doubt her?

My younger brother, sister and I hired her for her expertise after all.

And even though we don’t really feel like doing the things she wants us to do.

We went ahead and done them anyway because we know it’s what needed to be done.

So that’s really why I’ve been a little busy.

So getting back on track, I wanted to share something that crossed my mind today.

And I know you’ve heard this before…

But business is 80% mindset and 20% strategy.

Furthermore, I have a very specific strategy that I use in my business and that strategy takes up most of my business time.

But without the psychology and the mental discipline, I would never have found that strategy.

And I would never have the discipline to implement day after day.

Sometimes, the strategies to grow your business can grueling…

They can be mundane…

But if you work on your mindset daily and keep your vision strong in your mind, you will find the way to implement CONSISTENTLY…

Without the right mindset, you’ll find yourself giving up way too soon.

But with the right mindset, you will take the actions, not just today, not just for the next 30 days…

You will do it UNTIL.

It all comes down to your mindset.

When you DECIDE that you are going to succeed no matter what.

That you will make the necessary sacrifices now in order to build a better future.

Then you will be amazed at what can happen.

If you want to live like no one else, then you will need live like no one else is willing to for a period.

Are you willing to do what it takes?

So with that being said, I do plan to get back to doing blog posts again.

A conversation I’ll never forget.

Today I want to talk about a conversation I’ll never forget. I remember when I started how confused I was on a daily basis. I spent more time wondering what I should be doing over actually getting any work done.

So I decided, after following the advise I was given to get started asking friends and family to join the program.

It’s a conversation I’ll never forget, and it went like this…

Me: Would you like to make some extra money on the side?

My friend: What is this about? It’s not MLM, is it?

Me: My business coach would explain it much better than me. Why don’t we go for lunch sometime and talk about it?

My friend: My sister is involved in MLM and it’s definitely a scam.

Me: Shut up, it’s not a scam—–

My friend: Forget it. I’m not interested.

Just seems like yesterday when I was involved in this MLM, trying to recruit friends and family.

I have never been a social mouthpiece and hearing the word “NO” many times was a bummer.

That’s why I turned to online marketing.

So I could build my home business online and not have to deal with the rejections.

It was a short lived thing, because people still said no.

But look…it’s a numbers game and the “no thanks ” are still gonna happen.

If you are determined to succeed in this business, then it’s time to develop a thick skin.

You have to understand that not everyone is interested in what you have to sell.

Even though your product and opportunity would be beneficial to everyone, some people simply don’t want it.

So why waste your time trying to sell to people who have no interest whatsoever?

Some people will think it’s a scam.

OK, it’s not for them. NEXT!

Some people will think your stuff is too expensive.

NEXT!

Some people don’t want to start a business…

… you get the point, right?

The reality is that some people will, and most people won’t.

You just gotta work through the numbers.

If you get enough quality leads, you WILL make sales.

It really is a numbers game.

Whatever you do, don’t let people get you down or stand in your way.

Continue moving forward.

And learning as you go.

Keep taking action.

Because you and I both know that the end result will be so worth it.

That’s why you and I started this journey to begin with right?

Remember if you dedicate some time for your home business.

And really committing yourself daily to doing what it takes to succeed.

Imagine where you could be a year from now.

Don’t just take my word for it though!

Make the commitment NOW and discover for yourself what’s really possible.

For now, I just encourage you to enjoy the rest of this beautiful weekend… and tomorrow, it’ll be time to get to work!

Do you watch Donald Trump for motivation? Certainly, I don’t know what your opinion is on President Trump. But the truth is, he’s doing a pretty damn good job.

Sure, he’s made some mistakes, but he’s still human, right?

Now like I said, it doesn’t really matter what your opinion is on Trump.

Because this is not a political message.

Not at all.

The reason why I bring up Trump for this blog post is because I watched a very motivational video on YouTube this morning.

It’s about Donald Trump where he talks about achieving your dreams.

And it reminds me of the fact that there simply are NO excuses.

If you want to create the life of your dreams, you have what it takes to make it happen.

No excuses.

Look, I don’t believe in excuses.

If there is something that you want in life, then you have to go for it.

I hear a lot of excuses in the work from home business space…

I don’t have the money to get started…
I don’t have the time…
People will judge me…

If you let these excuses take hold of you, then you need to accept the fact that you will never realize your true potential.

But if you want to build something amazing, then you need to take massive action BECAUSE of those excuses…

Instead of allowing those excuses to hold you back, let them be your driving force.

Don’t have enough money? Start a business and hustle hard!

Don’t have enough free time? If you’re willing to take massive action in this profession for 3 to 5 years, then you can GET time freedom.

People judge you because you’re striving for something more? If that’s who you are, there is no changing that. So take action and SUCCEED with your business goals and prove those judgmental people wrong!

You have everything you need to achieve anything you want, period.

It’s not resources you need…

You just need to be resourceful… all it takes is a decision to step into your best self.

So I’d like to share with you this video.

It certainly helped to kickstart my mind for the day.
