The answer isn’t more work, what I mean is I’m always asking people what they need help with and these are some of the most common responses.

People are:
- Buying every new product that comes out.
- Joining one business opp after another.
- Trying multiple business models at once.
- Not sure where to start.
- Overwhelmed and ready to quit.
OK, now I want to share with you a few tips you can focus on right now.
If you’re not making money online yet or you’re capped at a certain income it’s probably because you’re focusing your time and energy on the wrong things.
The answer isn’t more work.
Here’s 5 things you need to focus on to start making money online.
1.) Build your email list daily.
The #1 thing you can do to put money in your bank account is grow your email list.
If you don’t have an email list you need to start working on that right now.
My email list allows me to create income at will.
I can put together an offer (my own or an affiliate product) and send an email.
The biggest earners online focus on building their email list everyday.
My email list was responsible for my first commission ever.
The bigger that list gets, the more money you can make.
Every day set a goal to get 10 subscribers. Put all of your focus on this.
I could do this with free traffic if I had no money for paid traffic.
This is how you put money into your bank.
2.) Email DAILY
Email is going to be your #1 traffic source, income generator, and it’s how you connect with your tribe.
If you wonder how all the big marketers are making money…..it’s because of a list.
I spend the first hour of my day writing personality driven emails.
You need to email daily or a minimum of three times a week.
The more you email the more your audience gets to know you, like you and trust you.
The answer isn’t more work.
Don’t let your mind stop you by thinking things like:
- I don’t know what to write.
- No one will value my content.
- What if I upset someone.
- I’ve tried email before and it didn’t work.
- I’m not good at writing.
The key to getting good at email and making it profitable is practice.
You don’t have to write long emails.
Sometimes I write a short punchy email, sometimes it’s a long email and other times it’s just a few sentences to send people to a video or blog post.
Make it a goal to write an email to your tribe sharing your best tips and deliver value often.
Tie your emails into a product or service that will help your audience solve their problems.
When people get onto your list they’re looking for you to guide them, help them and they expect you to be their trusted adviser.
Don’t be afraid to sell if you believe in what you’re selling and know it will help them.

3.) Sell More Stuff!
I see people wanting to create a successful business, but they don’t want to sell anything.
It feels Icky, scammy or unethical.
But in order to make money you have to get that money from someone else, period.
It’s only unethical and evil if the person doing the selling is unethical and screwing people over.
Start making more offers and presenting people with products that will help them solve their problems, get a result faster or even make their life easier.
I deliver a ton of value on social media, blog posts and in my emails.
When it comes time to sell……..
I SELL HARD!
You can create a simple product, put together a PayPal button for $17 and send an email to your list and generate money.
Or…
Find a good affiliate product that converts and promote that.
Point being, you need to sell something to actually make money.
Don’t spam your list with a new offer everyday, but you should be selling often because that is how you will move your business forward.
Most people spend all their time buying and never do any selling.
This is why they don’t make money!
Pick a reliable traffic source.
If you’re building your business around fads, loopholes and the latest traffic hack….you don’t have a business.
A lot of my business is based around Traffic Generation.
When you learn how to do things the right way, you can fly high.
But if you want to build a scalable business, you need to buy your traffic.
When you can spend $1 and make back $2 you have a real scalable business.
Then you can get all the traffic you need to grow, and it’s a simple numbers game.
If you’ve tried paid traffic and “it didn’t work out” … don’t give up.
Sometimes it’s just a few simple tweaks and then you’re off to the races.
With that being said, don’t buy peoples “done for you traffic.”
You need to learn to generate your own leads!
When you can generate your own traffic, you own your business and it allows you to control your future.
When you buy leads, you pay a premium and if that vendor ever stops their service, your business is shut down overnight.
5.) Do less work!
Most people think the answer to making more money online is to do more work.
This is the farthest thing from the truth.
It’s about working smarter, not harder.
Have you ever sat down, had a list of important things to get done and then by the end of the day accomplished nothing?
Most people either:
A.) Try to do too much.
B.) Don’t have a schedule.
Checking your FB news feed, posting on social media, watching Youtube, checking email, creating content, tweaking a landing page to make it pretty, etc…..
None of these things will put money into your bank account.
Everyday ask yourself if….
- You did one thing to add new subscribers.
- You did one thing to make a sale.
Those are the two most important things to be focusing on in your business.
Everything else needs to be scheduled in at the end of your day.
This is especially crucial if you have a job, because your time is limited.
Every morning I focus on the “One Thing” that will move my business forward.
I don’t check email, my FB, respond to texts or anything that will suck away my time until I get the one thing done.
When you’re building a business, you must treat your time like you would treat your first born child.
If you don’t control your time then people, tasks and day to day life will steal your time and 6 months from now, you will wonder why you’re not making any money.
